Faith is Seeing Beyond the Fog

1: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2: For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3: Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Hebrews 11

When I was going out yesterday around 12.30 pm, I saw it was very foggy and barely visible. At first I wished for the fog to dissipate. Then I decided I wanted to experience a day that was clear and bright. I thought, "I am a clear and bright sunny day; I am Light." In my mind's eye, I could "see" the sun shining and it was a lovely and bright day. During my bus journey, the fog dissipated, the sun came out and the day was bright just as I'd seen. It also felt very mild. Later in the evening, it got foggy again. Again I saw the evening as clear. When I got off the bus, there was no fog. Faith is being able to see a bright day beyond the fog.

When I shared my experience with my mother, she said she had experienced fog on her way to church; and on her way back from church, about 12.30 pm, there was still lots of fog. I guess you experience what you focus on.

As I see it, the fog represents beliefs in lack, sickness, old age and death. It takes faith to keep on focusing on omnipresent Love-Light, my Beloved, true self, and constant supply, when all around me is saying imperfection, lack, disease, fear and death.

I believe that no matter what the appearances, it's important for me to have a vision of perfection at all times because whatever vision I hold will be made manifest.

A while back I noticed the seat at a bus stop was broken and it was eventually removed. Whenever I went past that bus stop I would "see" the seat in place. A few days ago I was at that particular bus stop and I was able to sit down and wait for my bus. My vision had become a physical reality.

I can apply this to all situations in my life. Let's say my purse is empty, signifying I haven't got any money. Instead of focusing on what I don't have i.e. no money which ends up creating the same, I go beyond the empty purse and see my purse full. Put another way, I see infinite love-light, which is the substance of all that appears, in all time and all space, including that which appears to be my empty purse. I then let that which is already full be made manifest effortlessly. How the money comes is none of my concern.

By the way, when I came out this morning, there was no fog. It was a bright and sunny day.

Faith is being able to see beyond the fog of appearances to whatever reality I wish to experience, and letting that reality be made manifest effortlessly.
